I installed this app in my 4s, and it worked quite well. I collected a lot of wine info after a year or so. Then, I upgraded to a 5s this fall. The database would not transfer. Andrew provided limited and untimely support in helping me, and I held onto my phone until yesterday (Jan 8). I could wait no longer to take my phone into AT&T for my trade in. I am still without my database, and the trade in went from $200 before Christmas to $110 yesterday. I suppose that the lesson is not to wait for 99-cent app developers to help you. It cost me $90 to wait for the help that was never provided. "Sour grapes?" Yes. I did give if 2 stars because it will work if you dont upgrade your phone.
It crashed approximately five times in the first two times I tried to use it. All the info Ive entered has mysteriously disappeared and Im moving on
I like so many things about this app: its easy to add new wines, with lots of specifics; it will use your location or let you search for other places; it has an extensive list of descriptors you can select for you wine, with ready definitions; it lets you add you own ratings & notes. However, it doesnt let you go back and edit previous entries, and it crashes frequently. Both are killers in my book.
This app really helps me keep track of the wines I buy so I remember which ones I want to get again and which ones to avoid. I like the different ways to sort and the star system. I never use the suggested words for describing the wine, but thats just me. It could be easier to edit, but overall I have no complaints.
Adding a new wine to this app is always an adventure and usually bad. The poor interface means I almost always have to go through the process multiple times and usually end up with a duplicate entry. I only use it because I havent bothered to look for something better. I would probably be better served by the Notes app for keeping track of wines.
